Jay Perkins

For me, construction has always been about caring for people and their homes. Long before I ever picked up a roofing gun, I was a kid learning the trade beside my father, a general contractor who taught me the importance of integrity, quality work, and treating every project like it mattered to a real family.

I stepped into roofing in 2015 and spent years working with different companies, sharpening my skills and understanding what homeowners truly need. In June 2024, I decided it was time to build something of my own—Five 14 Construction—where reliability and craftsmanship come first.

What keeps me motivated is the pride in seeing a job well done. I love being able to drive past a project and know I helped protect and improve someone’s home. Even more, I enjoy showing my kids the work I’ve completed and teaching them that what we build should always stand for quality, honesty, and care.
